PAMM (Percent Allocation Management Module) is a pooled investment model where multiple investors allocate funds to a single master account managed by a professional trader. All trades execute once using combined capital, and profits or losses are distributed proportionally based on each investor's equity share in the pool.
Profits and losses are distributed proportionally during a rollover event. Each investor receives a share of the P&L based on their equity percentage in the pool. For example, if an investor holds 10% of the pool equity, they receive 10% of the total profit or loss generated by the manager.
The High Water Mark (HWM) ensures that performance fees are only charged on new profits. If a manager loses money and then recovers, they won't earn performance fees until they surpass the previous profit peak. This protects investors from paying fees on recovered losses rather than genuine new gains.
Minimum deposit amounts are fully configurable by the broker. Each PAMM manager can also set their own minimum investment threshold. This flexibility allows brokers to cater to both retail investors with smaller amounts and institutional clients with larger allocations.
Withdrawals in PAMM are processed during rollover periods. An investor submits a withdrawal request, and it is executed at the next rollover event. This ensures fair allocation and prevents disruption to open positions. The rollover schedule is configured by the broker.
